Learning Labs Open Calls
Learning Labs aims to support the professional development of young, creative practitioners by bridging skills gaps and building networks. We are now launching a series of open calls offering grant opportunities for artists and creative practitioners to help develop new training programmes. Applicants from countries in Southeast Asia and South Asia are eligible. The grant funding is managed by artlink in collaboration with international partners.
The deadline for all open calls is on 16 February 2025, 23:59 CET.
Learning Labs: Designing training on digital archiving in performing arts
Partner organisation: Meta Arts (India)
What: This is an open call to invite cultural practitioners working in the spectrum of digital archiving to devise a training programme for peers across South Asia.
Open to: Cultural practitioners and collectives from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal and Afghanistan (displaced arts workers since 2021 can apply too)
Training theme: Developing training programme on Digital Archiving
Grant amount: CHF 5925.50
About the partner: Meta Arts is a culture production company based in Calcutta, India. Set-up in the middle of the Covid-19 pandemic, primarily to address the limited number of independent culture producers in India, Meta Arts works primarily with independent artists and arts organizations from India and across the world. We tour, co-produce and design special projects cutting across music, performing arts and literature. Meta Arts' core focus is based on gender and equity in the arts, primarily through in the global south; a third of our projects feature women artists and artist practitioners of indigenous heritage.
